Compression Garment After a Facelift: How Does It Help During
Recovery?
A facelift is an effective procedure for addressing age-related
changes. It helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin, restoring
a firmer and more youthful appearance to the face.
After surgery, many patients wonder: Is it necessary to wear a
compression garment after a facelift, and how long should it be worn?
At SHE’S Plastic Surgery Clinic, we recommend wearing a compression
garment starting approximately 2–3 weeks after surgery. At this stage of
recovery, it helps support the tissues, promotes closer skin adherence, and may
provide additional support for the lifting effect.
For a more stable and long-lasting result, we recommend wearing the
compression garment regularly for 3–6 months after surgery, according to your
doctor’s recommendations.

Please note that the duration and frequency of wearing the compression garment may vary depending on the extent of the procedure, the condition of the tissues, and each patient’s individual recovery process.
Proper postoperative care is an
important part of the recovery process and helps support and maintain the
results of a facelift.
